Description
Offshoots Cafe & Hive Garden Bistro are two dining spots at Denver Botanic Gardens on York Street. Offshoots Cafe, in the main building near the Water-Smart Garden, serves breakfast pastries, breakfast burritos, sandwiches and a deep dish quiche in the morning. Lunch brings salads, sandwiches and wraps made with local ingredients when possible, plus plenty of vegetarian items and a full coffee bar with iced teas, lemonade and aguas frescas.
The Hive Garden Bistro is a modern bistro set under the trees next to Monet Pool. It serves seasonal burgers, sandwiches and salads prepared to order, using produce from the Gardens' own plots when possible. It is open daily, weather permitting. Both spots offer free Wi-Fi and use compostable cups, plates and cutlery. Entry is included with garden admission, and the dining pages say reservations are not accepted at either location.
