About Downtown (CBD)
Downtown is the central business district of Denver, Colorado's capital and largest city. This page uses the official neighborhood boundary from City and County of Denver open data, so it covers the core of the city rather than every nearby area that people casually call downtown.
The area is a mix of office towers, hotels, government buildings and cultural venues. The Colorado State Capitol is just east of the core, and the 16th Street Mall, a long pedestrian and transit corridor, runs through the center. Union Station, a rail and bus hub, is nearby in the adjacent Union Station and LoDo area.
