About Highland
Highland sits northwest of downtown Denver, across the South Platte River and Interstate 25 from the city center. It is one of the city's older residential areas and is often grouped with the broader Northwest Denver area. Today it is known for its walkable streets, a mix of older homes and newer buildings, and a concentration of restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Many visitors reach it from downtown by crossing the Platte River on foot, bike or car. For this page, we define Highland using the official neighborhood boundary from City and County of Denver open data.
