Suehiro Japanese Restaurant & Sushi is a locally owned, family-run restaurant at 541 Main St in Grand Junction. Sumiko Boyd, originally from Okinawa, Japan, became owner in 1989. The menu covers traditional Japanese cooking and sushi, along with sake and a full bar.
Lunch and dinner menus include appetizers like gyoza, edamame and tempura, udon soups, teriyaki and katsu entrees, stir-fried noodles, and a long list of nigiri. Lunch also features bento boxes for in-house dining. Takeout is available, and the restaurant says its friendly wait staff has become like family to regular customers.
