Description

Tennessee Pass Cookhouse and Nordic Center sits near the top of Tennessee Pass outside Leadville, combining cross-country skiing, backcountry dining and overnight stays in sleep yurts. The Cookhouse is a solar-powered yurt about a mile from the Nordic Center, reached on skis, snowshoes or foot, with mountain views and a menu that changes with the seasons.

Brunch is served by reservation and features dishes such as a bison burger with a fried egg, steak and eggs, stuffed French toast and avocado toast, with vegetarian and vegan choices. Lunch and dinner are also offered, and entrees are chosen when you reserve by phone. The Cookhouse says it has served guests for 25 years, and catering and online ordering are available.
